About MyPestFix
You saw something. You'd like it gone. We're here to tell you exactly what it is and exactly what to do — without the scare tactics or the upsell.
Why this exists
Most pest content on the internet is written by pest-control companies whose every page ends in "call us for a free quote." That's fine if you actually need a pro, but a lot of pest problems are perfectly handleable with a $12 trap or the right spray. MyPestFix exists to give you the DIY answer first, with the right products linked, and a clear "now hire someone" recommendation only when the situation genuinely warrants it.
How it works
Find the pest. Read the guide. Each guide tells you what tools and materials you'll need (every product is an Amazon link you can grab in one click), walks you through the steps in plain language, and flags anything that could go wrong. If the job's beyond a weekend project — termites, wasp nests on the second story, a real rat colony in the walls — we say so and link out to vetted local pros instead of pretending you can DIY it.
What it isn't
MyPestFix is not a pest-control company. We don't send techs. We don't take your address. We're a written resource, full stop. The "find a pro" links go to third-party referral networks (Networx, HomeAdvisor) that connect you to local licensed pest control. We earn a small commission on those referrals and on Amazon links — both at no extra cost to you. That's how the site stays free and ad-light.
